What Motor? 2.2L or 2.4L? Some GM 2.2L motors have a filter element that drops into a port on the top of the engine block where as other 2.2L and 2.4L models had the oil filter on the firewall side of the block behind the power steering fluid reservoir tank.Where is the oil filter loacated on a 97 cavalier?
It should be on the passenger side toward the front.
