yes remove the engine cover the oil filter is blue (if its a genuine peugeot filter) and metal. fuel filter is plastic cylinder with a few pipes going into it. dont try to change that leave it to proffesionals if u get air or any dirt in it it wont start again and will cost you lots of moneyIs it the oil filter or fuel filter visible in the engine of a peugeot 406 1.9 hdi?

remove the large plastic cover from top of the engine and you should see the fuel filter.
oil filter is down the front of the engine.
