6 Cyl. front of engine close to the starter.

4 cyl on the back of the engine just above the right inner CV joint. Can't find oil filter on '96 Chevy Corsica?
I researched online for you and it is located on the front of the engine, when you replace I sugust FRAM oil filters, because they're orange, have sure grip (no oil wrench needed). Pop the hood and check the front of the engine again. FYI... lay down and scoot under the car and look for it that way, you'll probably find it better.
the only three places it could be and not always easy to get to..... one on the back side of the motor but ur arm has to fit between the exhaust pipe and the sub frame...... on the front under the exhaust manifold.... or on the ';front'; side of the motor by all the pulleys down by the passenger side wheel hope this helps
