I know the 2002 sonata oil filter is located passenger side of engine.It is a very small filter hyundai's have.Get a flash light look on the passenger side near the transmission should be right there.To remove it you will need a oil filter wrench,pull back the splash guard also.Am looking for the oil filter on a 2002 hyundai elantra 1.8L engine thanks in advance to anyone who can help?
Most hyundai oil filters are on the front of the engine on the drivers side, Some later models i have noticed though are starting to come out with the oil filter in the middle at the back.
the elantra is a fairly good car...not the best in its class.
u would get the oil filter in jayalakshmi car kewels...a fairly big shop. it is all over the south.
