Under the engine you will see a circular plate with lots of bolts around it. Take all the bolts out and drain the oil, the filter is under that plate and is re-usable. You will need two new gaskets however to re-install the plate.Hey can someone tell were is the oil filter of a 1966 vw beetle?
stock/ you will not find a filter, but if you look in the center of the crank case at the bottom you will fond a circular panel with 6 bolts. with caution pill the six bolts out. remove that panel and you will find the oil screen over that.
