Will using Mobil ONE synthetic oil void my warranty?

This question has been settled in federal court.

NO.

As long as the part, filter, or oil, meets or exceeds the standard requirements of the original it will not effect your warranty.

You may use any oil, filter, fluid, part, fuel that meets the original spec's.

The Manufacturer cannot have special requirements that force you to use only their stuff.

Spec.'s must be in agreement with the SAE and General Automotive guidelines %26amp; Automotive standards.

If they are telling you otherwise, you need to contact Consumer Protection Agency and report them.

A far as the Mobil 1 Synthetic goes, it is a good lubricant and I use it in my BMW, the BMW spec's are for Synthetic oil.

Someone said you cannot switch back..They are mistaken or confused, you may switch as much as you like unless of course the original maunufactuer specified Synthetic only, the oils are compatable. How can you explain the synthetic blends if they are not.

I have provided a link on ';OIL MYTHs'; you might find interesting.

this will not void your warranty..but if you are not sure call your local dealer and they will confirm it for you
SINCE IT IS UNDER WARRANTY, AND 'IF' YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE MOTOR,AND THEY FIND OUT OR CAN TELL LIKE ME.....YOUR WARRANTY IS NO GOOD, YOU WILL PAY.....FACTS....IF THAT WOULD OF NEVER HAPPENED WHAT I WROTE ABOVE, ONCE YOU START USEING ANY SYNTHETIC OIL, STICK WITH IT.....YOU CANT GO BACK.....OK
no neither one of these things will effect your warranty,,as matter of fact,,a good dealer will recommend to you to use a good synthetic oil,,and you picked the best to use,,i own a repair shop,,and use it in all my customers vehicles,,and everyone is real satisfied with it,,you don't have any thing to worry about,,good luck with it,,i hope this helps.
Whatever you use, keep ALL RECEIPTS to show proof that you changed the oil and filter.
