Where is the oil filter located on a 2004 chevy silverado 3500 (6.6L diesel)?

Either it's a spin on type which is easy to see, it is usually under the engine or it might be a paper type which is located on top of the engine. If so look for a large black plastic cyl. on top of eng. with a large plastic nut to un screw and remove the paper filter.Where is the oil filter located on a 2004 chevy silverado 3500 (6.6L diesel)?
Should be under the engine right side. Check your owners manual.
