You can go to Auto Zone, O reilly Auto Parts, or some auto stores and special order it... They should have them, if not you might be forced to go to the dealership, but your warranty is already over and everything so you might be paying big bucks to get a oil change.. If I were you I would have sold my Benz right before the warranty ended so you wouldn't have your hands tied once your warranty is finishedWhere do i find the oil filter on a 1995 mercedes sl600?
It's not a spin-on. Mercedes uses cartridge oil filters. It will be located on the top of the motor, in a cylindrical housing. You undo the cover, and replace the internals of the filter and the o-ring seals. Have a big ziplock bag at hand for the old filter, it's a bit messy.

There's nothing wrong with the /95 cars, it's the later cars that are maintenance headaches.
The V12 engines are a little different.

The filter is hard to see, Its on the driver side of the car under the air intake pipe on that side. It doesn't stick straight up like the other MB cars do.
It would be in a plastic cup looking thing at the top of the engine. When you buy a new filter, it comes with a filter that you pop in the cartridge. Theres also a gasket that you replace.

oh and you will need a special tool/socket to get the filter off(unless you have strong hands). You can find it at ebay but dont buy it at the MB dealer. ITs expennsive
