Oil Filter Change?

Do you need to change the filter every oil change?Oil Filter Change?
It would be like washing your dishes in dirty water... using a dirty rag. YES you should change the filter!

- Good Luck!Oil Filter Change?
Short answer, yes. Your oil will breakdown over time and not work as well, thats the purpose of changing the oil. Your filter is made to keep contaminants out of your oil so really if you change the oil and not the filter you are just contaminating your brand new oil, not to mention the filter can only filter out so much and the dirtier it is the less it will be able to catch.
you dont have to, but its best if you do, because if you dont, all your doing is keeping a quart of dirty oil in the engine. for all they cost, its best if you change it everytime you change the oil.
definitely

the oil filter will be full of crud

whats the point of fresh oil if you run it thru a shitty filter
yes
yes you should change it everytime.
with the cost of a new filter on the cheap side change it with every oil change when the filter clogs it will bypass the unfiltered oil back into your motor and that is heading for a disaster
you should, cheap insurance for your engine. you can skip it once, but you really should change it each time you change the oil
This differs among people. If you change the oil every 3,000 miles, it's said you can change the filter every 6,000 miles.

The latest thinking is to change the oil every 5,000 miles. It really is a good thing to change for every oil change then.

Since you need to keep separate records of oil changes vs. filter changes, it's really much easier to just change it.
mos definitely
