my car has 82,000 miles on it. i need to get a tune up on it. don't have enough money. so was wondering if the air filter is still good. do i really need to change.When changing the engine and transmission oil on a car. should you change the air filter as well?

you're supposed to change the oil every 3,000 miles or so. the air filter doesn't need replacement nearly that often. I usually replace mine every 3 oil changes.
