Good luck with your project.Domestic Oil Burners with outside tank, where is the best location for fuel line hook up %26amp; filter?
number 1 fuel oil is suitable for cold climates without gelling. at the tank is a good place for your filter. if your tank has a tap on the bottom install an elbow then a ball shut off valve after that your filter ,a good replaceable fuel filter those that resemble a car oil filter work well. the valve will allow you to change the filter without major spillage. if the tank is any distance from the house you can run flexible copper line through a conduit or a thick walled black water line large enough to pull the line out for any replacement or repair. buried to keep from weed eater damage but both ends accessible and covered so they don't fill with water or debris.
