Where is oil filter located on a 1994 mazda 2. O L?

I believe it's right in the middle of the block on the firewall side. Shoul be able to reach it from the pass. side.Where is oil filter located on a 1994 mazda 2. O L?
If it's anything like my Mazda ....'it took me longer to find the filter that it took me to change the oil'...


I eventually found it underneath the back of the engine above the exhaust, but I have an inspection pit, for owners who don't, it would have been very difficult to find, and even more difficult to change.Where is oil filter located on a 1994 mazda 2. O L?
