Ford Mondeo . sump nut 15mil is a real pain to undo .. also is there a special tool to undo the oil filter?

Yeah, the wrench is the very tool, we've been using them for over 60years!!


The 15mm sump bolt...


Heat the bolt with a blow torch until it glows red, then let it cool, spray some WD-40 on it and leave it for 5 mins, attempt to remove it!, if it doesn't come out immediately, heat it gently until it does!Ford Mondeo . sump nut 15mil is a real pain to undo .. also is there a special tool to undo the oil filter?

i find that a cranked ring spanner is easiest for the sump nut with a gentle tap with a mallet on the spanner to loosen the nut
try a torque wrench
